We are also proud to say that we are a California state certified smog check center. We perform every smog test required by the DMV. You will receive all verification and certifications for the smog check, even for diesel engines.

Nearly 40 counties have required tests and inspections to ensure that your car is free of contaminants. Therefore, all vehicles registered in the state of California must obtain a smog check certification every two years. However, only smog check stations certified by the California Department of Motor Vehicles can perform these tests.

If your car is hybrid, electric, a diesel vehicle manufactured before 1998, or runs on natural gas, you are not required to have a smog check. If your car is new, it is stipulated that owners of vehicles six years or less of age (as of 2005) must pay an annual fee to reduce pollution. The registration renewal notice mailed to you by the Department of Motor Vehicles indicates whether a smog check is required for your vehicle.
